Health Care Fact: Health Bill Will Cut Services to America’s Seniors
Seniors that rely on Medicare for their health coverage should be alarmed at the benefit cuts they face under the Democrat health care bill.
The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that the bill would lead to $170 billion in cuts to Medicare Advantage (MA) plans. It is a real possibility that MA plans will drop out of the program, which will result in millions of seniors loosing their coverage. Further, it is possible that seniors who participate in the Medicare Part D prescription program could see their premiums increase by significant proportions.
America’s senior citizens should not be victims of health care reform. House Republicans have a plan to fix what is broken with the current system without stealing from retirees to fund a massive expansion of the federal bureaucracy.
