Health Care Fact: Government-Run Health Care Impedes on Patient-Doctor Relationship
Washington,
Nov 6 -
The Democrat Health Care bill would enroll all Medicare participating doctors in the government-run health plan and will give the government the power to force physicians not to accept patients with private insurance.
Further, the bill also opens the door to government rationing of health care by including the creation of a Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research. The center will determine the procedures that are cost effective and will eventually lead to the government suggesting which procedures should be prescribed for patients because it will save money. Doctors should have the ability to prescribe the best treatment for the patients’ well-being not the government-approved treatment that will save money.
Doctors should not be forced to participate in a government plan that may interfere with the health of their current patients. Nor should the government determine which procedures are best for your health.
