New report suggests House Democrat bill costs over $1.2 trillion

House Republicans Offer an Alternative Solution

A recent report from National Journal suggests that the Majority Party may break its promise to allow 72 hours to read the bill by adding last minute amendments through the Rules Committee.

American Farm Bureau Federation comes out opposed to H.R. 3962 citing employer mandate 
and burdensome payroll tax.

The Family Research Council opposes the H.R. 3962 for many reasons including the inclusion of federal funding for elective abortions in the government option and the subsidization of health plans that cover all elective abortions.

The National Federation of Independent Businesses does not support H.R. 3962 because the bill fails to create a more competitive marketplace for health care and will negatively impact small businesses with mandates, taxes and penalties.

National Right to Life Committee objects to H.R. 3962 because the bill will create a public option that will authorize a federal agency program to pay for elective abortions and use federal funds to do so.
